As the body is a place to express identity, many artists began to see the body as a way to comment on identity politics (gender, sexuality, race and ethnicity), as well as to develop new concepts of art. Many artists consider that the physical body is the ideal place for their works. With an inherent empathy, these artists are based on the attributes and experiences of the human body.
